Australian Society for Mechanobiology Travel Grant

Welcome to the AuSMB Travel Grant page!
We are excited to announce the availability of at least four travel grants, each worth up to 2500 AUD, to support attendance at the 5th International Symposium on Mechanobiology (ISMB) 
in Tainan, Taiwan, 1st-3rd November 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the AuSMB Travel Grant, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

1. The applicant is a current member of AuSMB, or
2. The applicant’s supervisor/manager is a current member of AuSMB, and the applicant becomes a member of AuSMB prior to submitting an application for a travel grant.

Application Requirements:

To apply for the AuSMB Travel Grant, please fill in and submit the online application form here.

You will need to prepare the following:
- Research Abstract (max. 250 words)
- Letter of Motivation (max. 250 words)
- Curriculum Vitae (max. 5 pages)

Application Deadline:
Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm July 21st 2024. Applications submitted after that deadline will not be considered for funding.

Evaluation Process:
To ensure transparency in the selection process, the assessment rubric used to evaluate applications can be found here. Applications will be judged by a gender-balanced committee of council members of AuSMB.

Notification of Outcome:
Successful applicants will be notified by email by the 5th of August 2024.

Grant Usage:
The grant is to cover travel and accommodation expenses associated with attending the 5th International Symposium on Mechanobiology in Taiwan and can not be used to cover other expenses.
